About the Creator

Conscience & Conversation equips South Dakota Synod rostered leaders to engage the ELCA’s current reconsideration of Human Sexuality: Gift and Trust. Following the 2025 editorial revisions, the church is now discerning the section commonly described as “bound conscience,” with study and feedback in 2026, a draft for public comment in 2027, and possible action by the 2028 Churchwide Assembly. This course prepares leaders to understand the process, reflect theologically on conscience, and guide faithful conversation in their congregations.
